A POWERFUL NEW CHAPTER IN UTICA'S HISTORY
Once a long-dormant corner lot at White Oak and Main Street, this renovated space now offers a fully equipped commercial kitchen and an intimate venue for music, film, visual art, and live performance.
As the primary presenting space for Sipp Culture’s year-round arts programming, it reactivates a site that had been vacant for over two decades, becoming a beacon of creativity, culture, and community in the heart of downtown.
​​This transformation was guided by a dedicated team with deep experience in community-driven development. Mike Grote of Alembic Community Development—known for impactful projects like the Andre Cailloux Center and the TEP Center in New Orleans—served as lead developer. The design was led by Allison and John Anderson of Unabridged Architecture, whose past work balances aesthetic excellence with community relevance and environmental sustainability. Their vision helped shape a space that speaks both to Utica’s heritage and its future.
